Cheetos Contest Landing Page (Spec)

Target Audience: College students, ages 18–22

 

Tone: Bold, Fun, Exciting, Urgent

 

Objective: The client wanted to get as many students as possible to sign up for the contest. Cheetos would then be able to send applicants promotional emails and coupons. The end goal was to make people more aware of their brand and, thus, more likely to buy their products.

 

Tactic: The headline mentions studying, a struggle the target audience knows all too well.

 

Later on, I include that the winner will be the “coolest hub for midnight cravings.” Many college students would love to be "cool." Plus, who doesn’t want more friends? This relatability makes the audience feel understood by the brand.

 

The use of the word “unlimited” also hooks them in right away and gives them a taste of what they could have if they win. I used several phrases that evoke excitement and urge the reader to take action.

 

The last sentence, right above the form, playfully assumes that the reader is going to sign up. This persuades the reader to take action without making it sound too demanding.
